Transmetric managing EastLink's WIM data.

EastLink, a fully-electronic tollway in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, "comprising about 39km of freeway-standard road connecting the city's eastern and south-eastern suburbs. It is a major commuter road and a key intracity arterial route". [1]

The toll road comprises an impressive array of ITS hardware, including two WIM devices each monitoring eight lanes of traffic.

Transmetric, is working with Connect East (the toll road operator) and VicRoads to qualify, store and report the data being collected. Both the operator and the state-road-authority saw the benefit in having Transmetric's highly skilled analysts and state-of-the art software (Transmetric Traffic 4) as the connector piece between the collection hardware and the decision maker.
